Yes we as believers say we have faith in God. We say that we trust God. But is it fully? When things are rough or uncertain in your life, who do you turn to? Do you turn to God first? This is one reason why faith is a journey for us. It goes through ups and downs, highs and lows but God remains the same. When I choose to completely trust God in every part of my life, everything feels better. The bad isn’t so bad. The good becomes great.
Who are you depending on?
“But let patience have her perfect work, that ye may be perfect and entire, wanting nothing.” James 1:4 KJV
Living life as a believer is filled with ups and downs because we aren’t in heaven yet. I know, shocker right? The Psalms do a great job of showing how we can praise and give thanks through a variety of circumstances. I find that when I am going through it the most, those are the times I am closest to God.
How do you bring the sacrifice of praise?
“Dear brothers and sisters, when troubles come your way, consider it an opportunity for great joy. For you know that when your faith is tested, your endurance has a chance to grow. So let it grow, for when your endurance is fully developed, you will be perfect and complete, needing nothing”. James 1:2-4(NLT)
