When we go through a test or a trial, that is a moment to talk to God. He wants to hear from us in good and bad times but especially in the bad times. It doesn’t matter if you think that what you are going through is major(and it actually isn’t), God still wants to hear about it.
In those times of communication, God gives us comfort and peace. I know my days always feel better when I spend time talking to God. It does not matter if I am laughing, crying, screaming, or silent from confusion. God always has time to listen to us.
How are you communicating today?
“Devote yourselves to prayer with an alert mind and a thankful heart.” Colossians 4:2 (NIV)
As soon as something happens that we don’t like or someone responds to us in a negative manner we think “That’s not fair”. Well, as a believer, it is. God doesn’t promise us that life will be perfect just because we are believers. He says that He will give us the strength to endure. So the next time you are going through something that you think just isn’t fair, ask God what it is He is trying to teach you.
I know that this seems easier said than done but as soon as you pray about something that is weighing heavy on you, it will start to feel lighter. When you remember that God didn’t put us in control, your perspective can change. I find that when I do that, my problems don’t seem quite as bad as I had thought.
I hope you have a blessed day.
“Make allowance for each other’s faults, and forgive anyone who offends you. Remember, the Lord forgave you, so you must forgive others.” Colossians 3:13(NLT)
